I Am Still Relevant In Ghana Music Industry – Simini

It could be recalled that movie maker Socrate Sarfo once posited that there was a time Samini was the hottest artiste in Ghana—and no one could at the time have a hit without featuring him on that song unlike today.

But the artiste in question during a healthy conversation with Joy FM’s Lexis Bill has nullified those with the perception that his music career is on the verge of collapse especially Socrate Sarfo.

According to Samini, he has so many businesses to handle hence it wasn’t easy focusing on his music career at a point.

“I was doing other things so my concentration shifted. My focus did not shift because I was broke, I had a different focus at the time,” he told Lexis Bill.

Presently managed by Africa 1 Media, Samini who is out with the video of ‘Obaa’ said he is releasing songs to pave way for his upcoming Reggae album.

“My next album is a collection of Reggae tunes because I want Reggae fanatics to have a feel of me as well. Reggae isn’t new to me but this time, we are doing it bigger and better,” he said.

His debut studio album, “Dankwasere“, was released in 2004 which had the hit, Linda topping charts for weeks. Samini, born Emmanuel Andrews Samini, received international recognition when he won the Best African Act at the 2006 MOBO Awards.
