Fetty Wap Reportedly Involved in Dispute That Leads to Shooting
Fetty Wap was reportedly caught up in a disturbance which led to shots being fired in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey on the weekend.
Two people were reportedly injured in the shooting which took place shortly after 5am Sunday outside a 24-hour deli, according to multiple reports. The two men were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with injuries considered to be not life-threatening. A third man later attended the trauma center at Hackensack University Medical Center with a gunshot wound, though its unclear if he was injured in the same incident.
The "Trap Queen" rapper was uninjured. Paterson deputy police chief Troy Oswald confirmed that Fetty (real name Willie Maxwell) and several of his friends were involved in the disagreement, according to reports, though they are not suspects in the shooting or in a robbery that happened during the incident. It’s unclearly if the injured parties had a connection to Fetty.
The hip-hop artist has been active on Twitter since the incident. “Overthinking leads to negative thoughts,” he wrote in one tweet.
